QuantumBlue Steering System Lubricant Catalyst is designed to address the inherent problems that are present in today's power assisted rack and pinion systems. QB Catalyst uses special proprietary shear, viscosity, and anti-wear technology originally designed for severe military and space applications which reduces wear 90% and friction over 40%.
It is specifically formulated to be used in power steering systems. Permanently lubricates the rack centering bushing greatly reducing friction. (The centering bushing acts like the inner seal so keeping that area conditioned and lubricated stops aluminum housing center wear that pumps aluminum shavings into your steering pump!). It conditions the rack outer fluid seals to help keep them from turning hard and cracking. It also lubricates the spool valve PTFE seals and helps keep them from digging into the housing and causing leaks.
QB Steering System Lubricant Catalyst uses specially developed lubrication technology just for these purposes. It exceeds all manufacturers requirements for lubrication and will perform under the harshest driving and racing conditions and system RPMs. Use 2 oz (60 ml) per system.
*NOTE:* If your system has 40,000 miles or more on it, a complete flush and refill with QuantumBlue Steering System Fluid and Flush is highly recommended and then introduce the QuantumBlue Steering System Lubricant Catalyst.
